Nigeria Political History

For the Gen Z in the house, let me give you history, for the millennials, let me refresh your memories.

Umaru Musa Yar'adua was Nigerian best performing president till he died, when he died, they hid his death from us for like 2 months, for some reason I don't know. Now to the best of my knowledge, he was very much of a good age to run but he was sick or ailing in health, so no matter how good he was, the sickness got the best of him and took what would have been our best president ever from us, then Goodluck Jonathan came in Man had absolutely no clue what it means to lead but he tried to stick to the legacy of Yar'Adua, he was weak and easily manipulated, people wanted him gone.
Muhammadu Buhari was who we confused as the new Yar'Adua, the latter whom we couldn't enjoy to the fullest Considering they were both from Katsina, they both led a very meagre lifestyle, they paraded Buhari as a no nonsense man who would eradicate corruption to the barest decimal point [only if they knew].
Buhari was the Yar'Adua, some Igbos accepted him, South accepted him, Despite Jonathan's incumbency and the fact that he went and added "Azikiwe" to his name, he still lost, we didn't need a dulling president, we needed a sniffer, a bulldog, someone who will give every form of corruption a technical knockout (TKO).
Buhari came in and refused to Select his cabinet for like 7months, we thought he knew what he was doing, we were commending him.
Fast forward to today, Buhari has the highest corruption index, the worst economy, the worst exchange and inflation rate, worst security, worst unemployment rate, nepotism But we choose to give him a pass in infrastructure, cuz he did the 2nd Niger bridge and lots of failed rail project, just when the pass was sliding down and we're heading to election, he commissioned the Lekki seaport and the rice mill.
I saw a video from a Tinubu supporter On twitter, the video showed Buhari lifting the hands of Tinubu and Shettima in Bauchi,
the user captioned it "make obidients dey play"... I forgave him because he is obviously GenZ they never too get sense to conceptualise when we had a better Nigeria, they think politics Is like choosing a football team to support, I choose Chelsea, you like Manchester United, my dear, you are watching a video of a failed president [failure in all index] endorsing a man with frail health, dementia and old age.
I tell you what I'm scared for this country My prayers is not even for Peter Obi to win, my prayer is that when he wins, may he never be overwhelmed by how complicated Nigeria is, may his blueprint actually be authentic. He is my most reliable candidate.
And for you that is choosing Atiku Abubakar, I hope for our sake that your candidate really has a plan because I studied Economics, I understand privatisation. Do you really think Capitalism is what the country needs?
